Who is Constant in this world of Change?

There is one thing we can be certain of in this world and that is Change is inevitable.  Whether it be day, night, rain, sun, joy, sorrow, rich, poor or birth, school, marriage, career, children, illness, relocation, divorce, retirement, natural catastrophic events or a decision made by another or any where in between change is happening to you and all around you.  Study Eccl. 3:1-15

The only constant is God. He does not change and we can rely on Him. Hebrews 13:8, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."

So when you are in a place where you want everything to stop and you are looking for peace, you may find it with God.  "Hold to God's Unchanging Hand" think of the hymn (Words by: Jennie Wilson, 1906. Music by: Franklin Eiland).

Trust in Him who will not leave you through the good and bad times.

Here are a few thoughts and quotes from a book I read called "Who Moved My Cheese?" By Spencer Johnson, M.D.

  • "Change Happens - They Keep Moving the Cheese"
  • "Anticipate Change - Get Ready for the Cheese to move"
  • "Monitor Change - Smell the Cheese often so you know when it is getting old"
  • "Adapt to Change Quickly - the quicker you let go of old cheese, the sooner you can enjoy new cheese"
  • "Change - Move with the Cheese"
  • "Enjoy change! - Savor the adventure and the taste of new cheese"
  • "Be ready to quickly change again and again - they keep moving the cheese"
Here is a link to a youtube video that explains this book's message:

Ask yourself what you want to change and what you need to change but keep hold to God's unchanging hand for your guiding light.
